Please read these terms carefully before placing an order. They set out who we are, how we sell products to you, what to do if there is a problem, and other important information. By placing an order you agree to these terms, together with our Shipping Policy, Refund & Returns Policy, Payment Policy and Privacy Policy.
1. About us
This website, https://eravelle.uk, is operated by Eravelle. Eravelle is a trading name of Jean-Claude Bouchet, sole trader. Eravelle is not a limited company and is not registered for VAT.
Business address: 299 W Derby Rd, Liverpool L6 5EG, United Kingdom
Email: support@eravelle.uk
Phone: +44 7860076765 (Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm UK time, excluding bank holidays)
In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Eravelle (Jean-Claude Bouchet, sole trader), and “you” means the customer placing the order.
2. These terms
These terms apply to all orders placed through our website. Our website and products are intended for customers in the United Kingdom. These terms are written for consumers (people buying for purposes wholly or mainly outside their trade, business, craft or profession). If you buy as a business, the sections that refer to consumer rights do not apply to you, and section 12 explains how our liability to businesses is limited. We may update these terms from time to time; the version on our website when you place your order applies to that order.
3. Our products
We sell wood burning and multi-fuel stoves from brands including Arada, Stovax, Charnwood, Saltfire and Ekol. Product descriptions, specifications, heat outputs, dimensions and efficiency figures are based on information supplied by the manufacturer. Product images are for illustration; colours and finishes may look slightly different on screen. Where a product is listed as EcoDesign Ready, this reflects the manufacturer’s statement that the model meets Ecodesign 2022 standards.
It is your responsibility to check, with a qualified installer if necessary, that a stove is suitable for your home, room size, chimney or flue, and fuel before you order.
4. Ordering and how the contract is formed
- When you place an order, you are offering to buy the products in your basket on these terms.
- After you place your order we send an email confirming that we have received it. This order confirmation does not mean your order has been accepted.
- Our acceptance of your order takes place when we email you to confirm that your order has been dispatched. The contract between you and us is formed at that point.
- We may decline an order, for example if the product is unavailable, if there is an error in the price or description (see section 5), if we cannot deliver to your address, or if we cannot verify your payment. If we decline your order after you have paid, we will refund you in full as soon as possible.
- Please check your order carefully before submitting it. If you notice a mistake, contact us as soon as possible.
5. Prices and pricing errors
All prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP). The price shown is the final price for the product. No VAT is added, because we are not VAT registered, so our invoices do not show VAT. Delivery is charged separately at a flat £20 per order for UK mainland addresses, and is shown in your basket and at checkout before you pay (see our Shipping Policy).
We take care to make sure prices are correct. If we discover an error in the price of a product you have ordered, we will contact you to ask whether you want to continue at the correct price or cancel the order. If the correct price is lower, we will charge the lower price. If a pricing error is obvious and unmistakable and could reasonably have been recognised by you as a mistake, we are not obliged to supply the product at the incorrect price, even after dispatch confirmation.
6. Payment
Payment is taken at the time you place your order. We accept card payments processed securely by Stripe, including Visa, Mastercard and American Express, plus Apple Pay and Google Pay where available. We never see or store your full card details. Full details are in our Payment Policy.
7. Delivery
We deliver to addresses in the United Kingdom only. Delivery costs a flat £20 per order to UK mainland addresses. For the Scottish Highlands, UK islands and Northern Ireland, please contact us for a quote before ordering. We aim to dispatch within 1–2 business days, with transit taking 2–4 business days (3–6 business days in total). Orders placed after 2pm, at weekends or on bank holidays are processed the next business day. Tracking details are emailed when your order is dispatched.
If delivery is delayed by events outside our control, we will contact you as soon as possible and take steps to minimise the delay. If we do not deliver within 30 days of your order (or a later date agreed with you), you may cancel the contract and receive a full refund. Full details are in our Shipping Policy.
8. Risk and title
The products are our responsibility until they are delivered to the address you gave us (or collected by someone you have nominated). Ownership (title) of the products passes to you once we have received payment in full.
9. Cancellation and returns
You have a legal right to cancel your contract within 14 days of the day you receive the goods, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. In addition, we offer a 30-day returns window from the date of delivery for items that are unused, uninstalled and in their original packaging with all parts.
To start a return or cancellation, email support@eravelle.uk with your order number. For change-of-mind returns you pay the cost of returning the goods. We refund you to your original payment method within 7 business days of receiving and inspecting the return, and in any event within 14 days of receiving the goods back. The original delivery charge is refunded only where the item was damaged, faulty or wrong, or where you cancel within the 14-day legal cancellation period. We may reduce a refund to reflect any reduction in value of goods that have been used, installed or handled more than necessary to inspect them. Full details are in our Refund & Returns Policy.
10. Damaged and faulty goods
If an item arrives damaged, faulty or wrong, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos. We will pay the return shipping and offer a replacement or full refund, including the original delivery charge. Please do not install or use a stove that appears damaged.
We are under a legal duty to supply products that are in conformity with the contract. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 goods must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights. For detailed information on your rights, visit Citizens Advice (citizensadvice.org.uk) or call 0808 223 1133.
11. Installation is your responsibility
We supply stoves only; we do not provide installation, chimney or flue work, or site surveys. You are responsible for arranging installation.
- Wood burning and multi-fuel stoves must be installed by a qualified installer (for example, a HETAS-registered installer) in line with UK Building Regulations Part J and the manufacturer’s installation instructions.
- Installations must be notified to building control. A registered competent person (such as a HETAS-registered installer) can self-certify the work; otherwise you must notify your local building control body before work starts.
- A carbon monoxide alarm is required when a solid fuel appliance is installed, and your chimney or flue must be suitable, inspected and swept.
- If you live in a Smoke Control Area, you must use an appliance and fuel that are permitted there. Please check the product information and with your local council.
We are not responsible for loss or damage caused by incorrect installation, unsuitable chimneys or flues, the use of unsuitable fuel, or failure to follow the manufacturer’s instructions. Incorrect installation may also invalidate the manufacturer’s warranty.
12. Our liability
If we fail to comply with these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach or our failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss or damage that is not foreseeable.
We supply products for domestic and private use. If you are a consumer, we are not liable to you for any loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity.
We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for breach of your legal rights in relation to the products (as summarised in section 10), and for defective products under the Consumer Protection Act 1987.
If you buy as a business, our total liability to you in connection with any order is limited to the price you paid for that order, and we will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss.
13. Events outside our control
We are not responsible for delays or failure to perform caused by events outside our reasonable control. If such an event affects your order, we will contact you as soon as possible. If there is a risk of substantial delay, you may contact us to cancel and receive a refund for any products you have paid for but not received.
14. Your personal information
We use your personal information only as set out in our Privacy Policy.
15. Complaints
If you have a problem, please contact us first at support@eravelle.uk or on +44 7860076765. We will reply during our support hours and aim to resolve complaints fairly and quickly.
16. Other important terms
- We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another organisation. We will tell you if this happens and make sure your rights are not affected.
- You may only transfer your rights under these terms to another person with our written agreement.
- This contract is between you and us. No other person has any rights to enforce any of its terms.
- Each section of these terms operates separately. If a court finds any part unlawful, the remaining parts will remain in full force.
- If we do not insist immediately that you do anything you are required to do under these terms, this does not prevent us from taking steps against you at a later date.
17. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring legal proceedings in respect of the products in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland, you can bring legal proceedings in either the Scottish or the English courts. If you live in Northern Ireland, you can bring legal proceedings in either the Northern Irish or the English courts.
